Tips on How to Do Viral Marketing

The term viral video has been around for awhile, but viral marketing is a newer phrase that packs a powerful punch. This term basically means that you want to put valuable content on the internet that has your affiliate links inside. You are hoping for this information to “go viral” and get into the hands of as many people as possible. Here is some additional information to remember:

  • Quality matters: If your content is top quality, it will get linked to time and time again. The more that publishers like it, the more your content will get out there to the right audience. Spinning PLR articles will not work. You need original, quality, interesting content to keep people entertained and informed.
  • Press releases: Get into the habit of issuing press releases so that you can announce when you release new content such as ebooks or reports. This generates a viral buzz all its own.
  • Short reports: This is one of the keys of viral marketing. By creating these short informative reports with your affiliate links inside, you are putting out good information that people will want to read and pass on. Read more…

What Is Public Relations?

Before you ask, the title of this post is grammatically correct. “Public Relations” is now a recognized field of study, employment and specialization, which is used to help companies expand their customer bases through methods other than traditional advertising.

Public relations, commonly referred to as PR, is the entire process of creating and maintaining a brand’s reputation with the public. The primary task of a PR professional is to ensure that a company’s central message gets across to its target audience.

PR can be used by anyone – individual, small business or corporate. The student lobbying for a classmate’s attention is engaging in PR, just as a presidential candidate campaigning for success is. It’s just that the methods used by the two will widely differ, as is appropriate given their differing target audience, scale and circumstances.
